Candice Kaal-Jack

Candice started dancing ballet at the age of four with the Pat Sterling Dance Academy in Rhodesia, Zimbabwe. She joined the Zimbabwe national Ballet Company in 1983 and soon after came to the United States on scholarship with the Joffery Ballet School. She continued further training in Australia with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, studying ballet, tap, jazz and choreography and subsequently received her B.A. in Dance.
Candice then moved to Hawaii and became very involved with the “Very Special Arts Organization,” founded by Jacqueline Kennedy, where she taught creative movement to handicapped children for five years. While in Hawaii, she also danced with the Hawaii Ballet Company as a principal dancer. In 1994 Candice moved to California and began teaching and dancing with Coast Ballet Theatre before joining the Dance Unlimited faculty. Candice has studied with such notables as Finis Young, Bobby Barnett, Alaine Haubert, Margot Fonteyn and Pascale Hanrion. This is Candice’s 14th year on staff with Dance Unlimited. She and her husband Rusty are the proud parents to daughter Aurora and son, Aragon.
